Sitchin, The Great Flood. Google Earth.

In another post I reported Noah's Ark was discovered. There is now video footage and drawings available:

National Geographic article on the subject: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/04/100428-noahs-ark-found-in-turkey-science-religion-culture/

Anyway. Folks think it is a fake and some say the 'Great Flood' never happened.

Based on Zecharia Sitchin's (Sumerian/Chaldean/Babylonian) tablet translation information, it was reported the Great Flood happened because the antarctic ice sheet 'slid' into the ocean.

So I went on Google Earth to look at the ocean floor maps for signs of glacial scaring and by what I saw, it sure seemed there was plenty of evidence to support the tablet translations. I drew arrows on the images to point the direction I assumed the markings were moving (See my other post for images:  http://tonytuthill.blogspot.com/2010/05/google-earth-great-flood.html).

In the last two days I went back to: 'The Lost Book of Enki' and started re-reading it.

What I had missed upon first reading was that the great flood waves came in from a southern direction.

In my opinion, the ocean floor map data from Google Earth shows evidence of glacial scaring that moves towards the Persian Gulf and the ancient cities.  To these people the waves would have come from the south.
